Health can be understood as a state of complete well-being – and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Caught up as we are today at the net and jet age, certain unhealthy habits find their way into our lifestyle. Smoking, poor eating habits, obesity and a sedentary lifestyle, could endanger the physical and mental well-being.

Workers metro cities are more susceptible to poor lifestyle choices worsening physical health. When a country reaches a certain level of welfare, certain complacency sets in. People get used to a certain standard of living, a certain way of life and bam! A nation is an economic high, but people’s health is low. Technology and medicine could wipe out some infectious diseases such as cholera and polio. The average life span who may have increased but people would agree when we say that a large number of diseases came to the threshold of our lives. Then there’s obesity, a major risk factor for health, which is determined by the amount of fat stored in the body. Someone who seems normal size actually considered obese or thin. It is obesity, which prevents individuals leading productive lives, exposing them to the coronary artery disease, hypertension, high cholesterol, respiratory problems, fatigue, muscle and joint pain.

The change brings with it the human way of life is changing every aspect of one’s life, including dietary changes, where people tend to consume more junk food. Physical activity is relegated to the background. One begins to lead a fairly sedentary life. Need of the hour therefore is to adopt the appropriate dietary intake and sedentary adults, foods low in energy density, rich in fiber, which would go a lot of vegetables and proper exercise long way in terms of providing satiety and maintaining good health. This means the currency that decadent slice of cheesecake in the fridge!

Women, especially diseases of the career-oriented women, are no strangers to life. India is the dominant need a double income in most cities there is a need for women to go to work. She feels responsible, meet the family’s needs and at the same time he must perform his job. Long working hours, juggling a career at home cause them to succumb to the lifestyle diseases, often at a young age. The deal would endanger their health.
